In yin yoga we explore sitting poses/asana, holding each pose for an extended period of time.  This restorative practice is a lovely complement to the more dynamic styles of yoga.  The practice emphasises stillness and silence preparing the body for meditation.  In yin yoga we will target both the deep connective tissues between the muscles, and the fascia throughout the body, increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility.
